Mass Chat: Saturday night, Sunday morning.

"We have come to listen to the 'music of the universe'" - Prayer of the Faithful
.
Yep.  So we kinda sorta celebrated Earth Day at Mass last night.  We had some made-up blessing for the Prayer of the Faithful...
.
It was announced that after Mass this morning they will have the blessing of bicycles and feet in the parking lot - feet for walking instead of driving, you know.  Earth Day is actually April 22, so I'm sure more solemnities are probably on the schedule.
.
That's all.

  1. We left Mass last night after the homily.

Hubby about had a cow when the fill-in priest (a wacko, educated waaaay beyond his intelligence, full of himself Israel-hating commie college professor, who never read the GIRM, and stuck his styrofoam cup of water along with a catechism and a missalette on the altar, never met an ambo he didn't despise, type of priest), started out by asking us to turn around and say hello to our pew-mates (we suspected it was going south from that point), and then spent close to 30 minutes rambling on about the priest sex abuse scandal during the homily, and managed to get at least half of that wrong.

We attended Mass this am at the FSSP chapel. The homily was great!

    Blessing of feet?!
On second thought, my feet sure could use a blessing...I'll look it up in the "Roman Ritual":<)!
