I also think it is amazing that the Inauguration is actually taking place on MLK Day. Historic.
No. This doesn't mean I approve of the President or all of his policies. No. I won't be watching the ceremony.

Do you really or is this one of your tongue-in-cheek comments? It looks like a bad wig to me. She has a lovely smile; it's too bad it mostly reminds me of the crocodile who offered a lady a ride on the Nile. Hmmm...now that I think of it, maybe that's the reason for the Cleopatra hairdo.
ReplyDeleteGives back to the community? These people spend billions of our dollars each year for no good reason. They fly their dog to hawaii for vacation separately. That's utterly ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteI think I posted about this once or twice, but since I was very little and introduced to Martin DePorres, I often wished I had been born black and poor - or Hispanic.

But you were poor, why did you have to be black or hispanic?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know we were poor. I think I thought black and Hispanic were the only poor, but I also wanted to be Latino because I thought it would be easier to become a saint that way. They were so Catholic. When we moved into the Italian neighborhood I wanted to be Italian for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteIn 8th grade Motown was beginning, and I wanted to be black because they were so cool and sophisticated - to my mind. I was never attracted romantically however. I wanted to marry white. Haha! Loved the music. The more into that I got, the less I wanted to be poor however, and the less I was attracted to virtue and holiness.
