Apple iPhone’s Siri function is saying that July 27, 2014, will be the “Opening [the] Gates of Hades,” or the Greek term for Hell, leading many to question why.

Oh, darn. My favorite theory is that the Gates of Hell were opened on 1/28/2011. Multiple recordings show an angel descending to the Temple Mount, causing a great flash of light by removing the restrainer/opening the gates, and then flying off. The ancient Jews believed the foundation stone (the site of Abraham's sacrifice) at the temple mount covered the pit of hell. I guess the theory is that the angel moved the stone..

DeleteAnyway - every day I turn on the news I expect to hear "WWIII has been declared" by someone.
The prophecies in Daniel & Apocalypse about the length of famines, the reign of the anti-christ etc. are always either for 3 1/2 years or seven. It was just a remarkable coincidence that the Temple Mount incident happened exactly 3 1/2 years ago today (what with the Siri prediction today). Just some fun nonsense.
